VNPC Governance Structure
The work of the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative is guided by a balanced governance structure that includes 4 advisory committees and an executive committee.
Advisory Committees
VNPC’s advisory structure brings together diverse expertise to inform and guide our work across the continuum of maternal and infant health.
The Strategic Advisory Committee includes representatives from key state and national organizations with a shared commitment to improving outcomes for Virginia’s moms and babies. Three additional advisory committees— Perinatal, Neonatal, and Community Care— are made up of volunteer subject matter experts with specialized knowledge in their respective areas.
Together, these committees provide guidance on VNPC’s priorities and direction, drawing on evidence-based practices, professional expertise, and emerging trends in maternal and infant health. An Executive Committee, composed of representatives from each advisory committee, meets regularly with VNPC’s Senior Director to offer strategic guidance and collaborative solutions.
